10th Year of ACC August is Here!

Welcome to #ACCAugust which is now in its 10th year! We’re gearing up as our team takes to the road to show elected officials around the country why #ChemistryMatters.

We’ve already hosted over 70 site tours this year with elected officials, and plan even more in August! So far, Idaho Gov. Brad Little has visited the BASF plant in Parma. Rep. Marianette Miller-Meeks visited LyondellBasell in Clinton, Iowa, and Rep. Glenn Grothman toured EMD Electronics in Sheboygan, Wisconsin.

Site tours are a great way to host members outside of Washington, D.C. and show them why the chemical industry is so important to their districts and constituents. These tours help educate lawmakers and share concerns for how legislation can impact business, save lives, and make everyone’s life better. The Chemistry industry provides over 530,000 high-paying, skilled jobs that are necessary to American innovation and economic success.
